Hodi Hodi Accommodation

The Bush Camp

The HODI HODI BUSH CAMP is situated a half hour drive outside the park, on the border of the Wildlife Management Area. A horseshoe shaped valley facing into the sunset is the setting for our tented camp.

Tented bedroom with green linen and views over the bush

The accommodation is five double and three family tents – with the widest views from each room over miles and miles of Africa. The bar, dining area, lounge and plunge-pool overlook our waterhole.

The rooms are sustainably designed and built from locally sourced materials – on stilts, with tented fronts providing 180 degree views, brick and thatch, and teak decks and furnishings.

The thatched lounge interior at the camp

Staff and supplies are all from the local region. Our knowledgeable guides and celebrated cuisine, our vintage landrovers and the private, intimate setting in the vast HODI HODI conservation area are some of the many features that our guests regularly comment on.

Roads are accessible any time of year, but we close between February and May, during the main rainy season.

Game gets progressively more concentrated towards the end of the season when the traditional water sources dry up. In the green season, from January to May, the park transforms into a lush and dazzling eden, a haven for specialist visitors such as botanists, entomologists and ornithologists.
